Afghanistan Thanksgiving

From The Economist:
"It will cost $1m to give the 50,000 or so American troops in Afghanistan a proper Thanksgiving—a small price for what Brigadier-General Steven Shapiro, commander of the Defence Logistics Agency Troop Support, calls the most important meal of the year."

So I guess It wasn't just Thanksgiving Day meals they were sending over to Afghanistan...

From The Washington Post:
"In a statement Friday morning, the U.S.-led international coalition confirmed it had conducted the airstrike while targeting an “insurgent riding a motorbike.” But the coalition said it has also received reports that the airstrike mistakenly killed a child in addition to the intended target."

This is really sad.
